I wrote this morning that my house has currently no VDSL internet, just cable internet. I’m just back from the street in front of my home. Roughly 50m away there is a suspiciously clean cable with a suspiciously new cable sleeve. Now I really think, that the proverbial excavator killed my internet connection, that excavator people are talking about, when you are talking with them about high availability and disaster recovery. Thought I would never meet him. Perhaps I talked to often about the excavator and conjured him up from the depth of a world of pain stemming from split brains.
