The second mystery: Terminal concentrator

Before i forget it: There is an second mystery. There are still customers buying serial terminal concentration devices for admin access to their servers or mandating them (or serial consoles) in their RfP. Okay, maybe you can argue about the optical drives as i saw the last few days, but terminal concentrators were obsoleted by the advent of decent LightOutManagement modules. A good LOM allows you to get serial access via IP (and a server without a good LOM is no server). Do you have an explanation for this mystery?
