Well, it´s like asking is OpenSSH 5.0/5.0p1 still based on Openssh 3.5p1. We´ve took the codebase and extended it for our own requirements, like hooks into our auditing.
Furthermore bugfixes and security fixes to all versions of OpenSSH get evaluated and integrated when appropriate. Fixes and new features are delivered by patches, not by new versions within a Solaris major release.

The last entry in the news files I could find mentioned 3.5. So which version of OpenSSH are you shipping?
None ... we deliver SunSSH.
SunSSH is derived from OpenSSH 3.5, but took an different path afterwards, albeit we look at every bugfix for OpenSSH and consider the integration, as the codebases are still similar ....

For some reason, menu.lst on my install DVD image is corrupt (not a text file). This prevents the installer from booting. Anyone else seen this problem?
nope, file says ascii text and the image installs just fine. Did you check the md5sum of your image?
This system is currently running ZFS version 4.... so no separate intent log, which is version 7.
