An sich ist das ja auch nur wieder das uebliche Pressegeschwafel ueber RFID, aber hier zeigt sich wieder mal was die Firmen unterscheidet:

In September, IBM (Quote, Chart) expanded its year-old RFID consulting offerings to meet the needs of smaller enterprises. It also announced that it had formalized the learning from previous engagements into offerings targeted at specific industry sectors, including the automotive, petroleum and forestry industries.

Das heisst uebersetzt soviel wie: Wir haben zwar keine Loesung, aber jede Menge Menschen in Global Services. Und nach dem wir andere Kunden beim Versuch (monet? ausgezogen haben, dort RFID einzufuehren, verstehen wir endlich zumindestens soviel davon, das wir es jetzt auch bei anderen versuchen wollen ... sie ausziehen ... nicht RFID einfuehren.

Also in September, Sun Microsystems (Quote, Chart) announced the availability of reference architectures for small, medium and large companies. Sun said these would enable clients of its RFID consulting services to benefit from Sun consultants' previous experience.

Heisst im Grunde nichts anderes, nur das hier auch Produkte dahinterstecken und zumindestens das ganze schon mal ausprobiert worden ist. Kunden, hier ist ne echte Chance, was funktionierendes zu bekommen (BTW: ich kenn das Produkt, ist wirklich gut ... achja ... merkt man das ich fuer Sun arbeite)

At the same time, HP (Quote, Chart) announced closer collaboration with professional services firm BearingPoint, as well as a consolidated offering for industry verticals. HP handles the strategy, process work and integration, allowing HP to focus on hardware and infrastructure.

Das ist witzig : Wir wollen nur unsere Hardware verkaufen ... das Ausziehen ueberlassen wir anderen. Noch witziger: Erinnert sich noch jemand an HPs Probleme mit dem Supply Chain und ihrer SAP-Einfuehrung?
