Support options for OpenSolaris 2009.06
It´s a little bit hidden in a presentation of Chris Armes from the Community One, but there are new support models for OpenSolaris 2009.06 (and to some degree older versions). The essence: You can get a vastly longer support for it. For OpenSolaris 2009.06 you can get GA Support (6 months), Post GA (30 months) and SS EOSL (24 months) support. 2008.11 and 2008.05 don´t have the last option. In detail this lead to the following support options:

- Telephone and On-line support
- SRUs made available
- SunAlert fixes via SRUs available
- Short term relief for unfixed bugs, via IDRs for
newly discovered defects - Bugs/RFEs can be submitted and maybe
addressed in this release - Post GA
