SamFS/QFS opensourced

Some weeks ago, i wrote about about an idea to use hierarchical storage management at home. One important part of this idea is now available as opensource. Yesterday Sun opened the code of SamFS/QFS under the CDDL licence. SamFS is an fully hierarchical filesystem to implement tiered storage. QFS is the filesystem part of it (you can use QFS alone) and has some really interesting capabilities like seperating the metadata from other data on fast disks (SSD for example) or the multiple reader/multiple writer capability to use a SAN filesystem from multiple systems in parallel.
