Did you ever fly a JU 52?
Just spend the LH miles, and enjoy! It's a totally different experience. I did it twice, once from FRA around the Feldberg and once from Egelsbach, south to Worms. Frankfurt with the JU 52 is an experience, because they have to "drop in between" all the big (OK, faster, not necessarily bigger!) planes. And Egelsbach OTH is a small semi-grass piste... Matthias
No ... never ... thought about that, but i tend to save all my miles for business class upgrades. Real relief for me as the Economy Class is the hell on earth for me.
The JU52 is even impressive when observed from the ground. I see her quite often around Hamburg.
I know...
And it's not too expensive, you can do it even without spending Miles: http://www.lufthansa-ju52.de/ There are still some left from and around hamburg, 179,- EUR for real 30 minutes in the air, and 299,- EUR for full 60 minutes. Or for example 157,- EUR for 50 minutes flight to hannover... It get's more expensive year after year, I guess, I did pay 129,- EUR two years ago... During such a flight, you can even go and "visit" the pilotes. Matthias
I am flying now since 25 years, in the beginning that was fun, like having a mobile in the early 90s. Now: people who are sitting on their balcony or in their gardens are shaking their head about us stupid guys flying arround, wasting lifetime and sitting worse than in a bus....
