Nice tip. I prefer doing things like this myself, that is manipulating persistent configurations with commands instead of editing files. If the command works, it will work across a reboot.
I admit it was a little bit weird at first, but after a few years with AIX it comes natural.
This is the exact reason, why i prefer the Sun dhcp server over the ISC dhcp server ... you use command to manipulate the configuration as well.
