I understand the rationale of this decision, just from my work: While i saw several NIS implementations in the last ten year, i saw exactly one NIS+ implementation. Nevertheless all implementations are now LDAP as a part of my job
Yea , and there was much rejoicing !
about time , nis next please. Just to qualify my delight ... I am a consultant I make a living fixing the extraordinary , strange and "how the hell does that even work" installations of NIS and NIS+ that my customers manage to cobble together. Viva Ldap , Viva Kerberos. |
