would be interesting to know how many diskcrashes IBM had during this benchmark...
Open Storage with the Solaris ZFS
File System and COMSTAR iSCSI http://wikis.sun.com/download/attachments/102400619/S304013_OpenStorage_ZFS_COMSTAR.pdf "Learn how to build a low-cost, full-featured block disk array with data services from OpenSolaris 2009.06 and commodity hardware using ZFS and COMSTAR" I have been playing a bit with it, the ease of administration is quite amazing! Michiel P.S. I do still need to figure out performance troubleshooting : hardware that does NFS +/- 80MB/s on (non-Jumbo) Gbit Ethernet sees only 20GB/s on iSCSI target. Probably not enough RAM... |
