Ben Rockwood at Oracle World

Ben Summers wrote in a tweet "Famous Sun/Oracle merger sceptic sounds almost positive? http://is.gd/4fbN5" when linking to Ben Rockwoods (author of cuddletech.com, one of the best Sun/Solaris blogs) article about his attendance at the Oracle OpenWorld. Given that Ben didn't seem to like Oracle/Sun merger at all i count this article as a positive one.

correct me if I'm wrong, but when the CPUs are 50% idle- doesn't this mean that your data can't be delivered fast enough? Either from RAM or from the storage?

Yes, perhaps, i just wait until the benchmarking docs are public and then go through it. Anyway: with RAC the problem is more difficult as you have to factor communication between the RAC nodes due to the CacheFusion protocol.
