You could now choose OpenSolaris as a rescue system for root-servers at Hetzner according to this wiki-entry (And no, i had nothing to do with it. Thanks have to go to someone else). Nevertheless i'm glad that one of the larger root server providers has choosen to offer OpenSolaris. Damned ... i wasn't aware of it .. i had some time in my vacation. As well it's relatively easy to install an OpenSolaris remotely, having a server running without a rescue system ready to boot in the data center of the provider isn't really funny.

As long as your employer has a bunch of 10G links its not a problem with remote virtual media in the Laras

I crashed my ufs S10 U2 at hetzner several times but could get it up and running again. Tip: ask for Lara shortly before the service time (22:45) ends. Then you have it all night long.

OVH is also offering OpenSolaris as a distribution option.
And they are much bigger then Hetzner.
But then, they are also doing business on an international level, where Hetzner is more local (Germany).
