pulling numbers from thin air i'd guess:
4x T2+ 128GB RAM 512 GB of those so-dim flash modules But i will be wrong and it is a 4 socket rainbowfalls system for 500$/month lease.
Finally professional mngt. is coming to Sun! Why did Sun not build something similiar with MySQL? A MySQL aplliance with Osol+ZFS+SSD+dtrace+x86/Tx+BUI?
Speculatiion:
8 Socket Nehalem-EX 1TB ram + 4x F5100 driven by 16x LSI SAS2.0 HBAs per node? That would be porn.
well no f5100
http://www.sun.com/launch/2009-0915/index.jsp just x4170 and x4275 I like the new Sun Oracle Label ( http://www.sun.com/images/k3/k3_05_qs_4170_detail.jpg )
Is Oracle 11g certified for Solaris x86?
But it is a good hint concerning the rumors at Sun's x86 hardware, because it wasn't mentioned in the famous ad. |
+1The LKSF bookThe book with the consolidated Less known Solaris Tutorials is available for download here
