So ... it would be nice to have a decent cluster framework for OpenSolaris 2009.06? Here were are: There was another interesting announcement yesterday. With OpenHA Cluster 2009.06 you get a cluster framework based on Sun Cluster 3.2 (with some extensions). You will find more informations about it in the SunCluster blog.

I know totally off topic - but there is the hot chips announcement out which mentions rainbow falls...!?

Apart from development / playing around, I've got a very hard time understanding why anyone would want HA clustering on a "toy"/fast moving distribution.

There are already people using OpenSolaris 200x.x in production as they need the newest features. I assume those people like the advantage of an automatic failover at night, too.
