Ich weiß nicht was dieses DTrace geplapper immer soll. Die Idee ist toll und vielleicht ist es im allgemeinen auch für irgendwas gut, nur nutzen tut es keiner. Hier gibt es einen IT Stammtisch mit ingesamt 5 verschiedenen Firmen mit sicherlich um die 2000 Servern. Nicht ein Admin, Consulter oder Casebearbeiter nutzt Dtrace.
Man kann sich den Sonnenuntergang natürlich auch schönsaufen.
Naja ... dafuer kenne ich so um die 10 Firmen ausm Stand, die nach kurzer Einweisung das seeehr regelmaessig verwenden.

I definitely agree on this; a month ago I was in a dtrace class and wanted to know of any probes for oracle. How cool it would be to have them.
and thank goodness IBM did not buy, would have been devastating - like compaq buying DEC.
Oracle buying Sun is no less devastating, at least to Sun's staff. I'll be surprised if 10,000 of them don't lose their jobs.
