wow - it really comes along nicely! with the easier linux-legibility this could make some inroads. what I am missing is disk encryption under zfs.
what is also needed is an easy to use upnp server - twonky or something like that. once solaris supports upnp somebody needs to make a ready to go bundle for home-nas boxen. with zfs, timeslider, twonky (and encryption) solaris would be the go to must have home nas solution for you media and archiving needs. there is a fairly big opportunity here to catch an interesting audience. somebody have an eye on it! |
