Even if I do not like George W. Bush at all: Is it possible that Bush welcomed all this persons before? As far as I know the G20 conference was held in Washington D.C. So it seems not so implausible that the host has welcomed all his guests long before this episode was filmed.
This CNN comment seems a little bit too tendentious. Beating the lame duck does not need much bravery.

I guess posturing with the worst president ever just isn't good for them back at home.
#1 may be correct.
But I guess some of the leaders on the stage would have given a month's salary for a shakehands with president-elect Obama....even if the last shake-hands was just 15 minutes ago. To Bush's credit, he had one of the most difficult presidencies since Roosevelt - but some of the difficulties he clearly just created himself. Obama will have an even more difficult term - all the problems that Bush hands him down, plus the economic crisis. If he solves all of that, they'll have to make room for another face on Mount Rushmore... |
