Ehhh ... was not one big difference between Solaris and OpenSolaris that the first had professional support which the latter lacks ?
I would feel more comfortable, if they would use the supported version for air security ...
You can buy support for OpenSolaris 2008.05 and following versions without any problems. You just can´t buy support for Opensolaris Community Edition.
And to speak in general: When commercially viable, custom aggreements may make even unsupported things supported
