and we all know it runs linux because sun still doesn't have Solaris-drivers for their Mellanox Connect-X cards (aka X4217A-Z)
Sorry, but this comment is a little bit underinformed. The system uses the X5196A. And the Solaris driver will be available really soon now (when itīs not available right now ... i have to look it up tomorrow morning)
they use the same driver since they are both Mellanox PCI-E Connect-X HCAs.
Look for optioncards for X4150 on Suns website. "Driver for Solaris10: included in OS" - this is not true. But I also heard that the hermon-driver should arrive this year... |
