Sometimes you read articles like this and you think "Dear author, whatever you did smoke, don´t smoke it again". I was temped to write a harsh comment about this, but Bill Beebe already wrote a good answer in "OpenSolaris is here to stay":

And that's why I now wonder if sjvn hasn't gleefully stepped into the same role that that Dan Lyons and Rob Enderle have held for so long, the Paided [sic] Shill. Except this time, instead of shilling on behalf of tSCOg against Linux, sjvn is shilling on behalf of the Linux majors against Sun and OpenSolaris.

I'm glad to see that there are some people left with their brain intact (common sense included)!!!

'sjvn' is not alone in what he is doing (btw, Simeon?!, wth), and SUN is not alone as the target in the crosshairs either. For some years now, there has been this FUD coming from many different Linux/GNU/other-'OSS' camps - and it is plain sick. Regardless of the entities it is directed towards, it is crass and unnecessary (that is being very, very polite).

Anyhow, whatever... seems as though the "new game" is now the "information war".
