From my perspective as a Sun employee, the possible move of the next huge content distributor to Blue-ray is a good thing: Java is one key component of the Blue-ray format. You see, we are everywhere

Oh yes, it's really great to have a Java powered engine running in the background while playing a Blueray disk. An engine that has to make sure that the customer doesn't crack the stupid encrypted video stream.
You see, Java being a part of AACS is nothing Sun can be proud of.
