The last few days

It was a little bit quiet here the last few days. I had not much time the last few days. Had an alumni meeting of my old school on saturday, was really nice. But the other part of the quiet period here: My notebook has failed unrepairable (at least at an economical way). My workflow to blog is quite dependant to some tools only available on the Mac (NetNewsWire,Writeroom, Thumbscrew and much more) and i have to sort out some things to get a new laptop. I have an self-purchased Notebook, but frankly none of the the other operating environments (Linux, Solaris or Windows) is a subsitute for a MacOS X.

OT: Just as a side note: I attended the "SunUP" conference in Berlin last week. After listening to presentations such as "Storage Roadmap" "Solaris Update", "Sparc Update" and especially "(Suns) Open Source (Strategy)" I've much confidence in the way Sun is currently acting.
As you might remember I was one of those questioning Suns strategy (e.g. Open Source all key technology). But I was wrong, everything is well planned and seems to pay off.
