Ja, die Präsentation liegt da schon ne ganze Zeit, wundert mich, dass das noch nicht mehr Leute verlinkt haben.

Wovon ich "Angst" habe ist, dass die Kerne RAM mässig "verhungern".

Gerade hattest Du ja erst vermeldet, dass die Computerzeitschriften den T2 nicht verstanden haben, da er ja eben durch die 8 kerne und das 8fache SMT die RAM Latenzen "verteckt" bzw. RAM besser nützt.

Aber jetzt wurde bei VF 2 FBD Kanäle gestrichen, d.h. da ist nur noch die Hälfte RAM Bandbreite verfügbar, oder anders gesehen, ein 2P System (mit dann 128 threads) hat soviel RAM Bandbreite wie ein "normaler" T2.

Bin mal gespannt, wie oder ob sich das auswirkt, oder ob das die Caches noch abfangen können.
