Techworld reports about LDOM in "Sun's new virtualisation edges closer".

As usual in press coverage of technical things, you will find a mistake in it:

It's unclear whether you'll only be able to run Solaris, or whether Sun will allow other OSes to be run. To do so, however, it would probably need to develop CPU emulation technology, which it's shown no signs of doing.

Sparc doesn´t mean that only Solaris runs on it. You can run other operating systems on it, as long their are compiled for Sparc. Without the need to emulate a different CPU. Obviously you won´t get Windows on it ... but well ... who wants Windows on such a system?

Windows ? you mean that the same operating system which copied "Project like Glass", "Apple finder", "Dashbord", and "Aqua" and served an uncomplete OS named Vista Premium edition .... with all posible virtual capabilities ?

or do you mean the old OS ... which usually show "Blue Screen of Death" .... new upcomming generation one shows Black Screen...

don't know... i will reather say they are Windoof..... because they served the stolen ideas too in bad way...
