Über die Kategorie Sunnies mit Mac, die kein Solaris nutzen, und "Eat you own dogfood" kann man sich sicherlich streiten (als followup zum letzten Artikel),. Es spricht doch aber nichts dagegen, das ganze mit ein wenig Stil zu tun.

Hier also: pâtée á la maison gebettet auf einem Sorbet vom Apfel mit einem kleinen Minzblättchen.

Ein Kollege hat hier MacOS X 10.4.8 mit Parallels laufen. Das Gastbetriebsystem ist Nevada im Build 57.

Ich wuerde den Spiess ja zu gerne umdrehen und mein Windows einladen, auch mal Gast zu sein. Gibt's irgendwo fuer Solaris als Host Land in Sicht? Ist Xen die Antwort?

XEN kommt, aber für Windows unter XEN wird es die üblichen Einschränkungen geben. Ich muss auch sagen, ich habs Windows noc nicht ausprobiert unter einem xenifizierten Solaris.

ich traueme noch den traum das leopard eine solaris kernel hat....
apple nutzt soweit bekannt zu min. schon dtrace, zfs, und ein paar deamons.

Es wäre mit Sicherheit vernünftiger, den Kernel mal komplett auszutauschen, damit Apple sich darauf beschränken kann, was sie wirklich gut können: User Experience. Und Sun das bieten kann, was wir halt gut können: Betriebsysteme.
