Why will you have Flash on your iPhone, when you could achieve the same with a more open approach (Java)? To be consequent, Apple should leave flash away!
And what is the difference between functionality of my E61 and the iPhone? The E61 has the same applications locally available as the iPhone (mail, calendar, webbrowser). It has a keyboard, which makes the device smaller, as a large display comes with a overall larger phone. I'm glad you brought Google up. Google itself provides a Mobile Java Client for its gmail service.
There is no technological difference between E61 and the iPhone. The difference is somewhere else. Iīve got it, when my 13 year old little sister asked me with the typical moellenkamp-evil-grin "Do you speaking with your pocket calculator again?". And she is right ... the E61 is a technophile handy, not one for the mass market. The iPhone is a massmarket device, adorable, comfortable and effective. This is how you create a real market. Nobody outside of out business wants to talk with a pocket calculator
Very well said, Joerg. There is one thing I'd like to add. That iPhone that Steve Jobs introduced a few days ago is Apple's first phone. I'd think it is quite good for a first one.
In the past, Apple's engineers and interface designers have come up with lots of improvements on even some of the cooles products. So I think it is safe to guess that the second generation of iPhones will be even better and more gorgeuos. O I just can't wait to get my hands on an iPhone. |
