Zertifizierung fuer Solaris 10

Am Rande mal angemerkt: Solaris ist gerade mitten in der Zertifizierung für EAL 4+ in allen drei Profilen. (mehr Informationen finden sich hier)

Warum ich so auf "alle drei Profile" rumreite: An sich sagt ja die Zertifizierungstufe (also das EAL 4+) noch nicht viel aus. Man muss sich jeweils auch die Profile angucken, in denen die Zertifizierung stattgefunden hat: Labeled Security Protection Profile (LSPP), Controlled Access Protection Profile (CAPP) und Role-Based Access Control Protection Profile (RBACPP). Ich weiss, das einige Linux-Nutzer jetzt denken: EAL4+ hat doch Linux schon längst. Da bitte ich noch mal genau hinzuschauen, ob sich in einer Distribution die Zertifizierung für alle Profile findet.

Gibt es eine Gegenueberstellung von SELinux und Trusted Extensions?

Hier hab ich nur einen Blog-Eintrag gefunden (pro linux)

Ich zitiere da gerne die berufenste Quelle. Naemlich die Entwickler von SElinux: http://www.nsa.gov/selinux/info/faq.cfm#I12

Die Entwickler sagen selber, das SElinux keinesfalls ein Trusted Opererating Environment darstellt.

SElinux löst ein Teilproblem der Trusted Extensions. Du kannst SELinux eher mit dem plain-vanilla Solaris 10 vergleichen. Trusted Extensions fügen dem noch Multi Level Protection Profiles hinzu.

Meine persönliche Einschätzung ist: Es gibt in vielen Bereichen unterschiede was wirklich Trusted ist. Viele Leute betrachten schon SELinux als ein Höchstsicherheits Linux und viele der Distributoren wollen das einem auch glaubend machen.

Ansonsten gilt immer noch: Was Du selber nicht hast, das mache schlecht
